Today, we arrived at our hostfamilys place. At first, they showed us their house, which is EXTREMLY beautiful. After that, they gave us some space for ourselves and at 7pm we had dinner. Since their youngest child is only eight years old they had already eaten. Still, they stayed in the kitchen with us and we talked about our journey, timetables and the plan for the next few days. It was a really nice atmosphere the whole time and they are very friendly people. We didn’t have any problems communicating with them, which was a big relief for us. We also met their son but we didn’t really talk to him. They also showed us one of their favourite desserts, which is named Victorias sponge. It’s like a cupcake filled with jam and cream, we liked it very much. After all, the first evening was very nice and we felt comfortable around our host family.
