“Mama Mia” is a name that the ABBA scene already knows, but some of our classmates don’t. That was about to change on September 4th, because our program included a visit to the musical of the same name. The musical was being performed at the Novello Theatre, so we took a boat across the Thames to Catherine Street in London. The building looked like something out of an 80s movie in the USA. Inside, it reminded us more of an opera house, with several floors and a beautiful decorated dome. The cast was everything including singers, dancers, and actors. The story of Sofie and Sky was told to us in two parts. At the end, all the visitors were able to sing along to three songs and demonstrate their singing talent. After this magical evening, we all had an ABBA song stuck in our heads.
