Today is a very special day for us, because it is the first time we are traveling without our teachers in the third largest city in Europe: London. Like every day, we were picked up at our meeting point and took the bus for two hours to London. We were dropped off at The O2 arena and then we took the subway into the city in groups of at least three. We were four persons and we wanted to do some sightseeing. We got off at London Bridge. From there we started walking. Our first stop was “The Shard“, a huge skyscraper. Unfortunately it was closed today but we enjoyed the view of the city and Big Ben later from the London Eye. Then we continued on to “Tower Bridge“ which was even open and the “Tower of London“. Afterwards we walked to Buckingham Palace where two soldiers were standing guard.
Time was running out, as we had to plan for a one-hour return journey by subway. So after buying some souvenirs it was time to say goodbye to London and we hope to come back soon to this fantastic capital with its impressive history and culture.
