I love the sea.
Life is so much better if you can see the sea, swim in it, walk along its shores, look at it, have your lunch beside it, hear it, smell it or even just know that it’s near and you can go there any time.

That’s what makes me very happy when our trip to England comes up. I can’t wait to reach the Channel, but while checking the expected wind, I realised that this year I might have to postpone my love of the sea until I reach England’s shores. I had a hard time on the ferry and had to delay my delighted “Aaaaws” and happy smile.
Bournemouth is a lovely seaside town, and since it was my first visit, I experienced it with fresh eyes and curious attention. People seem to enjoy going to the beach in a wonderfully unpretentious way. I loved seeing all those different families, couples and groups hanging out near the pier or simply spending time by the water. You can feel part of it very quickly.
Running into the water and jumping into the waves like a child was one of the highlights of my trip. Whenever our schedule allowed it, we headed to the beach, and I opted out of going swimming only once…

I am an Aquarius. Unfortunately, there is no female word for it, and I also don’t think “waterwoman” would apply to me. Still, I feel different when I’m at or in the sea and can’t wait to be back. The British Isles have some of the most beautiful beaches and spectacular coastlines, so being able to live by the sea and speak English sounds like a good plan to me.
In that spirit, consider going back to the places you loved. There’s so much more to see and explore! Just one thing: send me a postcard once in a while 🙂.
Yours …
