Yesterday we experienced a nice but also exhausting day in the capital of Great Britain – London.
The day started early, at 7:30 a.m. at our bus stops. After that, we had a three-hour journey to London. When we arrived in London, we were allowed to explore the city in groups. Our group consisted of me (Luis), Mattes, Tom, Ben, Linus and Leo.
Together, we first explored Big Ben after we had left the tour very quickly. In front of Big Ben, we took many photos, including, of course, a picture of the Big Ben in front of Big Ben.
After that, we went to the London Eye, where Linus and I ate a delicious hot dog. Then we went straight on to eating again, in an Asian restaurant where we all ate fried noodles. Linus, of course, ate far too much.
Afterwards, we passed a souvenir shop where many of us bought souvenirs. For example, I bought a rubber duck.
Then we went to Chinatown, where we got many impressions of Chinese culture. After that, we walked past Piccadilly Circus to Buckingham Palace. There, we also saw the guards. We were a little disappointed because there were only two of them and they were standing behind a fence about 30 metres away. And, of course, there is no parade on Tuesdays.
After that, we walked along Oxford Street, a long shopping street, until we reached our meeting point, but none of us found anything. Then we ate an ice cream and waited for the others.
When everyone was back, we drove home to Bournemouth.
In conclusion, we experienced a very nice and walking-intensive day in London.
